On Jan. 25, 2019, JCruz Gudino’s life changed forever. “I woke up, went to the gym and went to work, and then to lunch. After a phone call with the boss, I got this excruciating pain in the center of my back,” he said. After a trip to the hospital, they discovered inflammation of his spinal cord, as he was paralyzed from the T5 vertebrae down. “The official diagnosis, transverse myelitis. To my understanding, 3% of population get it, and within that 3%, another 1% get it with no cause, and I’m that 1%,” Gudino said. See more in the video above.
