Mood Changes During Bodybuilding Prep // Sunday Series Ep. 5

In today’s Sunday Series episode, I talk about how prepping for a bodybuilding show effects your mood the leaner you get!

Dane Knighton asked “how much did your bodybuilding show effect your mood the leaner you got?” First off, Dane thank you so much for the question! And I was super excited to answer this one, and of course have to feature Taylor as she is currently prepping for her Bikini show.

To answer the question, one’s mood changes drastically during prepping for a show. With the lack of carbohydrates and an increased cardio/training regime, it really does become taxing on one’s body and mind! For myself, I become very quiet and extremely tired all of the time, and I know that is from the lack of carbohydrates. Trust me life can be a bit miserable while on prep with these mood changes, but you guys have to understand this is only for a small amount of time!

I absolutely LOVE prepping for a bodybuilding show, and wouldn’t change a thing about it! Yes having these mood changes, in which you are tired all the time and hangry stinks, but at the same time you are looking the best you have ever looked in your life. Nothing good in life comes easy, and prepping for a show just shows how true of a statement that is! You will be faced with a lot of struggles, and it will test you, but just know its an amazing experience and one you will never ever forget as you will look the best you ever have, and most importantly look back at everything and be like, damn I just did that.
