The Truth Behind BCAAs // Are BCAAs Beneficial? // Sunday Series Ep. 9

In today’s Sunday Series Episode I talk about The Truth Behind BCAAs and if they are truly beneficial! I give a brief overview on BCAAs and talk about why I do not feel BCAAs are a good supplement to take!

Earlier this week, I was asked to put out a video on the topic of BCAAs and if they are really beneficial. I know everyone is subject to their own opinions, so here is mine about BCAAs:

BCAAs, which is short for, Branched Chain Amino Acids, is a supplement that consists of the 3 key amino acids, Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine.

This supplement claims to reduce fatigue, increase immune function, as well as muscle recovery post workout. For these reasons, BCAAs are a very popular supplement in the fitness industry, but after doing some research and educating myself on supplementation, I beg to differ!

These key amino acids, that I listed above, are found in many food sources that we consume daily. Between them being in MANY of these food sources, whether it be with meat, dairy products, eggs, or protein powders, and getting enough sleep at night, you truly do not need to take BCAAs, as these two essentials (a proper diet and sleep) will cover ALL benefits of BCAAs.
