I decided to try doing 100 sit ups per day for 30 days!
As the days went on, I found a few strategies that really helped me increase my core strength and perform my sit ups with more ease!
First, You need to have something to weigh your feet down! I found that using dumbbells really increased my ability to target my core rather than my legs.
Next, Use breathing techniques, inhale on your way down, and exhale on your way up. It seems obvious, but you’d be surprised how many of us hold our breaths during exercises.
Lastly, and this may be obvious ones again, but to mimic the decline bench (where I usually do my sit ups), don’t go all the way down. Resting on the floor for even that millisecond ruins your momentum and does not allow you to squeeze and engage your core at all times.
Watch the video to see how I did! Let me know if you’d like more challenges!
