Nutrition is one of those things that people tend to overcomplicate. My personal approach is to eat as clean as possible (least amount of processed foods, least amount of “unnameable” ingredients), keep animal fats to a minimum and pick foods that are both enjoyable and healthy for me.
No one is gonna reverse all of their progress overnight by having a treat. IIFYM allows for certain flexibility when it comes to hitting your macros and still fit in the occasional “enjoyable food”, cause that’s what life is about, right?
