Resistance bands (Power Bands) are an amazing tool to use in your workouts whether or not you have an access to gym. It’s not just use for adding load, nature of resistance with bands is different to using Dumbbells for resistance. It helps in better eccentric control.
P.S. if you specifically working on building your power, you can combine banded exercises with power exercises working on similar muscles.
This video demonstrates an example of how you can combine resistance band exercise with power exercises (jumps) to be more explosive. Once you master bodyweight moves, resistance can be applied to even power exercises.
