How sickel cell trait helps in power sports.

It’s miraculous how DNA works. It’s fascinating how point a mutation can have dramatic effects. This is a story of positive influence of Sickle Cell Trait (Hbs) in Power Sports. The possible mechanism for the same is thought to be due to increase in proportion of fast twitch muscle fibres, however, increased proportion of fast twitch fibres are conclusive in rats and still not conclusive in humans due to ethical issues.
